Erin is deeply knowledgeable about tourism, arts, family, food, and Pacific Northwest business, and she writes on these subjects for clients of all kinds, from newspapers and glossy magazines to web-only publications to chambers of commerce and small businesses. She can help with:
Feature writing. Erin contributes regularly to a variety of magazines, newspapers, and websites focused on Pacific Northwest tourism, travel, business, and family, and she’s eternally eager to dig into a juicy lifestyle feature. She’s also got the chops to ably cover hard news.
Content marketing and web copy. Erin will help you supercharge your online presence through optimized landing page copy, targeted blog posts, ebooks, lead magnets, and other web-specific written products. She’s available for short- and long-term content-creation initiatives, and she can also help you improve the materials you’ve already got.
Other marketing collateral. Erin works closely with marketing departments to craft advertorials, direct-mail, and email marketing campaigns and other branded content. Erin has experience working with writers of all levels, from non-native speakers to published authors. She particularly loves working with new writers, or those interested in self-publishing.
Manuscript read-throughs. Looking for an economical way to get feedback on a current project? Erin will read through your work and provide about two pages of notes and feedback, plus suggestions for how to move forward. This service also includes, at no additional charge, two “freebie” questions for the project she’s reviewed, redeemable at any time in the future.
Copy editing. Erin will take your precious manuscript and polish it until it shines. Whether it’s light copy editing, heavier structural editing, or deep developmental work, she’s ready to go as deep as the project requires, the writer desires, and the budget allows.
Proofreading. Perhaps you’re prepping to self-publish, or to send a piece of writing off to agents, editors, or publishers, and you simply need a sharp set of eyes to catch anything you might have missed. Erin will put her knowledge of Chicago, AP, and APA styles to work to ensure you look your best.
Coaching. Sometimes, the guidance you’re looking for is bigger than a single project. Erin can also help you identify and tackle weaknesses in your writerly skill set and point you to resources and exercises that will help you improve your craft. We’ll wrangle ideas and explore the practical and philosophical underpinnings of writing as they relate to your personal goals. Erin takes a down-to-earth approach to coaching writers, and her emphasis is on helping you develop better habits and put better content on the page.
